Wacky (But it Works) Wednesday *Reader's Tip Edition*: Workout in Costume!

Wacky (But it Works) Wednesday *Reader's Tip Edition*: Workout in Costume!: SELF.com

It may sound cliche, but half of what you get out of a workout depends on having the right mindset. If you groan at the thought of a trip to the gym, chances are, it will feel like a chore (and how much fun have you ever had doing chores? Exactly). Instead of viewing exercise as something you have to do, flip your attitude and think of it as something you want to do! You'll get much more out of the workout and you'll enjoy yourself. SELFy reader Corinne Proctor has a fun, wacky tip on how to do it...

Dressing Up: "I majored in acting so I naturally do my best work in costume," says Corinne, 23. "I'm addicted to Les Mills BodyCombat (a mixed marial arts cardio kickboxing class). I go to class in full battle regalia (camo bandana, boxing wraps, even sometimes black lines under eyes)!"

Think about Halloween--when you get dressed in costume, you do more than look the part; you become the part. So rather than head off to class as every-day you, try throwing your inhibition to the wind with a costume and a new 'tude to boot! You'll be surprised at how much more fun it is, and how much more energy you'll have.

Visit www.lesmills.com/bodycombat to find a Les Mills BodyCombat class near you.
